- I'm stumped by the simple USR28.8. I'm trying to set it up on a friend's
- system but Hyperterminal can't touch it. The icon in Control Panel reads
- properly--com 2 set up,- and I've not touched the dip switches. So what else
- is there? My only thought is to re-instal Hyperterminal which seems to run--
- type in ph. #, set the icon, " dial "---then the screen message says "
- disconnected ". The modem is on-- the phone line works and is in the correct
- opening in the back-- but the line is not picked up. Just " disconnected ".
- Is there some way I can double check the basics here : that it is on com 2?
- that the modem is operable? I tried MSD but it does'nt show the modem .
- Thanks.
