  13. I'm stumped by the simple USR28.8. I'm trying to set it up on a friend's
  14.  system but  Hyperterminal can't touch it. The icon in Control Panel reads 
  15. properly--com 2 set up,- and I've not touched the dip switches.So what else 
  16. is there? My only thought is to re-instal Hyperterminal which seems to run-- 
  17. type in ph. #, set the icon, " dial "---then the screen message says " 
  18. disconnected ". The modem is on-- the phone line works and is in the correct 
  19. opening in the back-- but the line is not picked up. Just " disconnected ". 
  20. Is there some way I can double check the basics here : that it is on com 2? 
  21. that the modem is operable? I tried MSD but it does'nt show the modem .
